Dr. MinSat Labo ("we," "our," or "us") operates an AI-powered academic writing platform at drminsat.com. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of the Republic of Korea and other applicable laws.
By accessing or using Dr. MinSat Labo, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account data: email address, display name, hashed password (for email/password accounts)
- OAuth data: name, email, and profile picture from Google or KakaoTalk (where you choose to sign in via those services)
- Payment data: subscription plan and payment history. Card details are processed entirely by Toss Payments - we never see or store raw card numbers.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- IP address, browser type, and operating system
- Pages visited and session duration
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 8)
2.3 Manuscript Text
Text you submit for AI processing (humanization, translation, abstract generation, etc.) is transmitted to our inference provider for processing and is not stored on our servers beyond the duration of the request.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To authenticate your identity and prevent fraud
- To process subscription payments and manage billing
- To provide and improve our AI writing tools
- To send transactional emails (account creation, password reset)
- To comply with legal obligations under Korean law
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
We share limited information with the following third-party providers strictly to operate the service:
- Google LLC - OAuth authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Kakao Corp. - KakaoTalk OAuth authentication. Subject to Kakao's Privacy Policy.
- Toss Payments - Payment processing. Subject to Toss Payments' Privacy Policy.
- Groq Inc. - AI inference. Text submitted for processing is sent to Groq's servers for model inference and is not retained by Groq beyond the request.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for the following periods, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and Korean commercial law:
- Account information: duration of account + 5 years after account deletion, as required by Korean law
- Payment records: 5 years from the date of transaction, as required by Korean commercial law
- Access logs: 90 days
- Manuscript text: not retained - discarded immediately after AI processing
All retained data is stored on servers located within the Republic of Korea or within jurisdictions with adequate data protection standards as determined under Korean law.
6. Your Rights
Under the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of the Republic of Korea, you have the right to:
- Access your personal information held by us
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information
- Delete your account and associated personal information
- Suspend processing of your personal information
- Withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing

- Essential cookies: session tokens required for authentication and payment processing
